Glorious Autumn

Andrew & Ray SevenMaples

Updated: Apr 24, 2023

It’s somewhat bittersweet to see the last days of summer pass, all that warmth and sunshine, swimming in the lake, BBQ dinners out on the deck, long bike rides…. (sigh!) But then Fall arrives, with all its glorious shades of red, yellow, and orange, and the autumnal harvest of apples, pumpkins and squash, and it's easy to push thoughts of the impending winter and being cold out of your mind for the time being.

Our Sugar Maples certainly did their bit by putting on a spectacular show out front. We also enjoyed several trips through the surrounding Northumberland countryside and the Fall vistas on display were simply stunning. Many people I spoke with commented that the Fall of 2022 was one of the most colourful in memory.

Spending time with old friends and enjoying the autumn bounty is another one of the pleasures of this time of year. For us, curling also picks up again, and we’ve found a fun community of like-minded folks at the Brighton Curling Club and it’s fun to reconnect with these new friends after the summer break.
